The Ursen Race

Ursen are a race of bear people that feature many bear traits, such as claws, mass, fur, etc. They follow the Bear God Ilfora and he two children. They are separated into four distinct races based on fur color and size. They are known to Humans as the Northern Ursen, the Grizzled Ursen, the Woodland Ursen, and the Dark Ursen. Each race has a distinct Culture and look.




Northern Ursen
The strongest and largest of all Ursen, the Northern Ursen live in the vast tundra of the North. They live in tribes villages. They live in underground housing that is close to a frozen of unfrozen area of water. They are the fishers of all the Ursen. They are also excellent swimmers. They are an average 12-15ft tall and can weigh around 500-950lbs. Their fur color ranges from pure white to tanish-white. They are the most pure of all the Ursen.


Grizzled Ursen
The second strongest and largest of the Ursen race, the Grizzled Ursen live in pine forests along streams rich with salmon. Their dwellings are made into the ground or are constructed above the ground. They live in tribal systems. They are fishers, hunters, gatherers, and trappers. The traps they do make however are very primitive. They hunter most of the wildlife, but keeps the children of their god (the bear) sacred. They are an average 10.5-13.5ft tall and can weigh 450-800lbs. Their fur color ranges from light brown to dark brown. They do trade with the outside world in some sense, but they do not believe in violence.


Woodland Ursen
The second smallest of the Ursen race, the Woodland Ursen live in towns, villages, and some of the few cities they have. They are farmers, hunters, and gatherers. They are the most civilized of the Ursen Race and are exposed to the outside world the most. They kingdoms they have made either remain neutral of allied to each other and rarely fight. Some of these Ursen believe in the Great Light Spirit and take on the Path of the Paladin or Priest. However, majority stay close to their shamanistic religion. They are an average 5-9ft tall and can weigh 120-420lbs. Their fur color can range from brownish gray to light brown to dark brown. They are corruptible, but they are very far away from being as corrupt as humans.

Dark Ursen
The smallest of the the entire Ursen Race, the Dark Ursen live deep in forests or underground cavern systems. They live in underground villages, towns, and cities. Sometimes only half the city, town, or village is built above ground. They believe in shamanistic religions. Most of them are followers of Exiled Demon Lords who turned to a good side. They are looked down upon literally and contextually by all of the Ursen race. Some of Dark Ursen can grow very large when entrusted with demonic powers, but they usually gain demonic aspects and are feared to be demons by their own people. They remain good hearted and great companions. However they are very despised by most people. They do show hate for the ignorance of others and sometimes kill those who refuse to change mind sets. This gives them a bad reputation. They are an average 4-10ft in height (Mostly stay in between 4-7ft) and they weight 80-260lbs. They are very resistant to corruption and are very wise. They prefer to train in the arts of Magic and this makes them the best magicians of the Ursen race.
