The Wolfkin Race

Wolfkin is used as a very loose description of a race. Wolfkin are a race that have the physical characteristics of a wolf. Wolfkin isn't used by intelligent races to describe many of the types of Wolfkin
.



Lupines
The most powerful of all the Wolfkin races. Lupines are mortals blessed by the very wolf god Lupinus himself. They are blessed with a wolf-like form, yet they may stay in their previous mortal form. Lupines live for many times their mortal limit and stay in their prime until death. Some are thought to be immortal for how long they live. They also are very strong, dexterous, and athletic as well as wise and good leaders. Their beast like appearance frightens enemies, both those who know of the wolf god and those who don't. Their appearance also moralizes their soldiers who see that their leader has the word of a God.


Lupinus' Children
Being related to Lupinus himself, this type of wolfkin is a wolf-like humanoid. These are as wise as Lupines, yet they do not have another form, they stay in a wolf-like form. Their fur ranges from white to brown to black. Their height ranges from 5 feet to 8 feet. Their weight ranges from 100lbs to 240lbs. Their culture revolves around the worship of their god and his children. They live in tribes, almost never evolving to cities. They live in deep forests and are unknown to almost all civilizations except the forest tribes and elves. They hunt game, but learn to control their population so that they don;t abuse the forest that they live in. They respect all life and only kill when endangered. Their weapons are made of wood and stone, but are sturdy. They rune their weapons to increase their power. Many pacts and tribes have a shaman who is to venture out into the world once in his lifetime. Shamans that survive and witness the cruelty of the world are to never scare the people with the tales. Yet some do and many tribes destroy any that enter the forest fearing that they will destroy it. Shamans are very powerful and are the indirect leader of tribes. This is the most commonly one named "Wolfkin" and is the bulk of the race.


Wolf cursed
Some people that insult Wolfkin shamans usually are cursed with a feeble and dangerous form that will eventually get them killed by their own people if they do not live as hermits. Wolf Cursed usually transform into an uncontrollable wolf-form that kills any non-wolf like race. Some do not transform and stay in a wolf-from. But this form decreases common intelligence and the afflicted looses all memory. Also, this form does not make the afflicted loose control of themselves. This curse is removable, but only by the caster of it or Lupinus himself. And most times the shaman who did cast it will not remove it.
